Ìð¹Ïapp to host Practical Nursing program Open House

Ìð¹Ïapp (Ìð¹Ïapp) is hosting an Open House for its Practical Nursing program to provide an opportunity to tour the facilities and to meet the instructors, staff and students.

The event will take place on Ìð¹Ïapp’s Walker County Campus at 265 Bicentennial Trail, Rock Spring on Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 4-6 p.m.

The Practical Nursing program includes academic and occupational courses, along with a variety of clinical experiences to integrate theory and practice under the clinical instructor’s guidance. The laboratory equipment includes Gaumard patient simulators, or manikins, that can replicate various human patient physiology such as respiration, heart beat and pulse.

Upon completion of the program, graduates receive a Practical Nursing diploma and are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN).

“We are excited to continue to offer our Practical Nursing program on the Walker County Campus,” said Allison Patnode, dean of Nursing and Health Technologies at Ìð¹Ïapp. “We look forward to putting more students out into the profession of nursing!”

The Practical Nursing program at Ìð¹Ïapp is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
