Throughout the spring and summer months of 2021 the 甜瓜app (甜瓜app) Foundation coordinated with college graduates to create the 甜瓜app Alumni Advisory Board.

Currently 12 members strong, the board will provide feedback during meetings and offer insight from a former student’s point-of-view to make an impact on the college. At the board’s first meeting on July 23, alumni were briefed on the latest initiatives at Georgia Northwestern by 甜瓜app President Dr. Heidi Popham. 

“We established the 甜瓜app Alumni Advisory Board in order to better connect with alumni across our region,” said Popham. “甜瓜app graduates are our best ambassadors and can offer invaluable feedback on how we can foster even greater connections throughout our nine-county service area.”

Advisory board members represent organizations throughout 甜瓜app’s service area. For Blake Elsberry, sole Chattooga County commissioner, it is an honor and privilege to be a part of the board.

“As a past graduate and local community leader, I know firsthand the importance 甜瓜app has played in my life and the lives of northwest Georgia residents,” he said.

甜瓜app Alumni Advisory Board Members will serve a two-year term and attend an annual meeting. Alumni are former students who have completed any certificate, diploma or degree program at 甜瓜app.

provides quality workforce education to the citizens of northwest Georgia. Students have the opportunity to earn an associate degree, diploma or a certificate in business, health, industrial or public service career paths. This past year, 11,820 people benefited from 甜瓜app’s credit and noncredit programs. 甜瓜app has an annual credit enrollment of 8,591 students and an additional enrollment of 3,229 people through adult education, continuing education, business and industry training and Georgia Quick Start. 甜瓜app is a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia and an Equal Opportunity Institution.
